My imagination has been sparked by reading about the student in Barcelona who used Arduino Galileo card to interface to a knitting machine (I do not recognize the brand from photos, but it says Brother, not any machine I recognize.)
My background of interfacing with industrial controls on the shop floor and conviction that STEM education for girls is a good thing, together with my passion for machine knitting, draws me into this guy's web. Literally.
